ART EDUCATION

Sheema Khan brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role as an educator in the visual arts. Since 2007, she has been a faculty member at the Department of Visual Studies, Karachi University, where she has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of artists. She extends her teaching expertise to the Textile Institute of Pakistan from 2023 onward, enriching students with her profound knowledge and insights. Previously, she contributed significantly to the Karachi School of Arts from 2010 to 2012 and engaged students at Indus University in drawing techniques from 2018 to 2019. Sheema's academic qualifications include a Master's in History from Karachi University (2018-2020) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with honors in Miniature Painting from the University of Karachi (2001-2005). Her commitment to continuous learning and artistic exploration is evident through her participation in numerous workshops and activities, such as traditional pattern and geometry workshops at VMCTA and BIOMORPHIC design workshops conducted by Mahmud Manning. She has also contributed to significant art projects and exhibitions, including installations at KB17 and wall paintings for "I Am Karachi" and "Sikka Art Fair" in Dubai, reflecting her dynamic engagement in the global art community.
